About the Author
Canadian entrepreneur Derek Muhs spent a decade in the real estate & property development sectors in the Canary Islands, Spain, and Cape Verde in both residential and commercial real estate.

From 2003-2007 Derek was a Partner and Managing Director of the Atlantic International Property Group (AIP).

Since 2008 Derek has been working and investing in the real estate, health care & biotech sectors within greater China. In 2009 Derek co-founded Cellular Biomedicine Group (NASDAQ: CBMG) and WA Health Care, which opened two private health centers in Shanghai and Beijing. In 2015 WA Health Care was 70% acquired by the iKang Health Care Group (NASDAQ: KANG).

Derek is currently Founding Partner in Global Edge Holdings the parent company of Human Touch Media LTD. The focus is on investment in Real Estate, Health Care & Media sectors in emerging markets. For over 25 years he has been active in volunteer work, in Canada, Canary Islands, China and India.

Marisa has worked for over 13 years in Law focused in real estate, health care and offshore corporate structures. During her 8 years in the Canary Islands practicing real estate focused law she specialized in providing property due diligence and mortgage finance along with needed residence documentation for non-Spanish residents and investors.

In the last 5 years Marisa has practiced law in Shanghai providing legal services in setting up on-shore and offshore legal structures for foreign companies and investors who are doing business in China. She is the managing partner of MTA-Lawfirm specializing in BVI and Hong Kong legal structures along with WOFE set up in China

Marisa is the co-founder of Human Touch Media a company that invests in digital media content with distribution focused on China & India.
