About the Author
Dr. Sara Hoeve is a former high school English teacher with over 15 years of experience in secondary and college classrooms. She has also worked as an instructional coach and a writing consultant, supporting both preservice and practicing teachers. Currently, Sara is a visiting assistant professor of English education at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. She serves as the cochair for the ELATE Commission on Writing Teacher Education and continues to present on writing instruction at both local and national conferences. Sara lives in Hudsonville, Michigan, with her husband, Mitch, and their three children.
