About the Author
Peter Traben Haas is an ordained Teaching Pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and serves as the senior pastor of the world's largest non-denominational contemplative Christian church and community located in Austin, Texas, The Church of Conscious Harmony. Peter earned a B.A. from Moody Bible, an M.Div. from Princeton Seminary and a Doctorate from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Peter also serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at The Seminary of the Southwest and is a certified Centering Prayer instructor and retreat leader. He is the author of multiple books and articles on the contemplative Christian dimension, such as Contemplative Church and is an oblate of New Camaldoli Hermitage in Big Sur, California.
