About the Author
Danielle Futselaar graduated at the Graphic Lyceum in Rotterdam. She combines imagination and science. Since 2001 she works as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator and has illustrated miscellaneous children's books. Since 2011 she regularly makes illustrations for the NASA, the SETI Institute, SETI Berkeley - Breakthrough Listen, the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and ASTRON. As a consequence, her work is published in the media as well, amongst others in Nature, American Scientist, National Geographic, Washington Post and New York Times. Moreover, illustrations of her have been on the cover of Nature and American Scientist. This work has increased Danielle's knowledge of the universe and space greatly. For Clavis, she wrote and illustrated the marvelous book The Universe.
