This book contains poetry that has been written over the years of my life following a shooting incident that caused me to be confined to a wheelchair. I thought my life was, at that point, meaningless. I did not want to do anything in life; because I did not know what I could do. I felt confined in the body as well as in mind because in neither was I being fruitful. I was lost and depressed at the age of fourteen. I received a birthday gift from a friend of mine and it was a journal. After writing my first poem, I felt joy, peace, and freedom. My writings were flowing from a place within my heart. A place where I stored things that occurred in my life. Topics ranging from the shooting incident, dating, emotional stability, revelations from God, desiring to be loved and spiritual growth. I pray you enjoy the gifts found within these pages. They truly are expressions of my soul.
